5 Tips to Streamline Your Morning Beauty Routine
Sometimes it’s just too hard to resist hitting that snooze button again and again, promising yourself just 5 more minutes of sleep, and then finding yourself rushing to get ready in the morning, praying there’s no traffic so you can slide into work on time. Or at least within the grace period.
In this kind of scenario, you usually end up sacrificing one of two things: your morning beauty routine or your punctuality. Sometimes both.
But what if I tell you you can have your cake and eat it too? It’s as simple as streamlining your morning beauty routine.
While there are some parts of your morning routine you should absolutely not skip (like brushing your teeth), there are also some steps you can do without, or better yet, do with the help of multipurpose products.
Prepare everything you’ll need the night before
Before going to bed, make sure that all the products you’ll need in the morning are within easy reach so you don’t waste time rummaging through drawers or cabinets. You can also create a small space especially for your morning skincare/beauty products so you don’t have to spend time preparing these things every night.
Treat your skin at night
Minimize your morning skincare routine by treating your skin at night. Our skin goes through a restoration and regeneration process at night, and it’s also the time when our skin is more permeable which helps skincare products penetrate the skin deeper. This is why it’s the best time to target your main skin concerns. During the day is when you want to focus more on protecting your skin with SPF and antioxidants.
Skip the shower. Use dry shampoo.
If you can, skip the shower and instead apply dry shampoo on your hair the night before to give the product time to work and absorb the oil. It’s going to make your hair look fresh and you get to save precious time. Of course, you shouldn’t do this every day, but it’s a good tip to keep in mind especially when you have to work late at night and want to wake up a little bit later the next morning.
Use multipurpose or all-in-one beauty products
Using multipurpose beauty products can significantly cut down time spent taking out and applying each and every product included in your morning routine. One great example of a multipurpose product is Spalina Skincare’s Mineral Tinted SPF 40 Sunscreen which leaves your skin looking flawless and at the same time protected from harmful UV rays.
You can also swap out your lipstick for a lip and cheek tint instead to give you that fresh glow. And while we’re on the topic of multipurpose beauty products, why not take it even further and use an eyebrow pencil as an eyeliner too?
Consult an esthetician
It’s always a good idea to consult a licensed esthetician to help you streamline your morning beauty routine. They can give you the best advice on which products to use at night and which ones are crucial to use for the daytime. They might even have some multitasking skincare products to recommend for your a.m. routine.
