Featured Ingredients
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract | Improves skin hydration and helps increase the rate of healing. Aloe Vera contains calming properties and helps repair damaged epidermal cells.
Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Extract | Obtained from the Shea Tree this natural fat is a rich emollient that increases moisture, and provides a protective barrier for the skin. Its moisturizing properties are the same as those produced by the sebaceous glands in the skin. As a result it is considered to be an NMF (Natural Moisturizing Factor) which helps to regenerate the skin, keep bacteria out, and maintain the epidermal structure.
Zinc Oxide | This relatively non-allergenic mineral derivative is used to soothe, protect, and heal the skin while also providing an excellent protective barrier from UV rays.
Zinc Gluconate | Helps DNA synthesis (DNA polymerase activator and histones stabilizer) and keratin and collagen synthesis (stimulates the formation of intramolecular bonds).
Copper Gluconate | Helps encourage ATP production which stimulates cellular respiration and stimulates fibroblasts to produce healthy collagen. Copper also inhibits MMP’s making it effective for wound healing and preventing inflammation.
Magnesium Aspartate | A mineral salt that supports the metabolic process by supplying vital electrolytes which contribute to proper energy and ATP production.
General [NMF] Theory | The Natural Moisture Factor is one of the primary elements in keeping the skin’s moisture level balanced and the epidermal structure intact. Found in the stratum corneum, the NMF is comprised of lipids, water, minerals, polysaccharides, and a combination of many water soluble, small molecular compounds such as amino acids. Natural Moisture Factors make up the intracellular matrix (“intercellular glue”) which is the skin’s first line of defense against water loss (dehydration). When the intracellular matrix is impaired the skin feels tight, flaky, and dry and fine lines appear more prevalent. When the intercellular matrix and NMF are intact, they help prevent surface irritation, help keep bacteria out, and help to boost the skin’s overall immunity and ability to heal. Ingredients that mimic the NMF include Apricot Oil, Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil, Lecithin, Olive Oil, Safflower Oil, and Shea Butter.
Application:
Apply thin layer directly to clean skin by using fan brush or hands. Best results are achieved when used after the companion exfoliating product CranGlow Milkzyme. Leave on 10-15 minutes, wash off and follow your regular routine. A splash of Detox + Rejuvenating mask can be added to additional benefits when needed.
